Would your opinion or position change IF?

Reading the thread regarding the media's negative slant regarding sex/escorting.
Without a doubt society conditions us to think believe that sex is bad when it is outside the standard boundries i.e. prostitutes are looked down on as well as their clients. Reading through the thread sparked a question as most whom participated in the thread unconditionally excepted and supported this underground world many stated they love what the do and would not change a thing.

Here is my question would your opinion or position changed with regards to prostitution if your daughter or son came to you and stated this is the profession they have choosen, would you encourage/support them. would your out look be the same?
No, on the one single condition that she is happy.

I want nothing more for her than to be happy in her life. If this were her profession, I wouldn't worry about her income. I might worry about how long she can stay in the profession, but I would hope that she has a good honest investment adviser to help her plan for a time when she might be no longer in the profession. I've had some time to think about this since it has been in my thoughts since I started hobbying.

What if something did happen to me, and the police went to them and said " Mr and Mrs_____, your daughter was raped/killed and she's an escort." I would never want them to find out that way.

I've been blessed with a remarkably close relationship with both of them, and after a while, they accepted what I did as long as I was happy and safe about it.

If my future children ended up in the same profession, I would just want them to know they have my support and I love them unconditionally. Because if they are already doing it, they will continue with or without your approval, but hopefully knowing they have a support system behind them will help them make less reckless decisions. But besides that my view on the hobby wouldn't change, we are all someones child, knowing my child is in the field wouldn't change what I love about the hobby.

For several years my daughter was an escort. (She has now moved on to be Mrs. Mom to twin boys and loving wife to a great husband.) I knew at the time, and it didn't change my opinion of her one bit. My only concern was that she be safe, and fortunately she was. I think the overriding factor was, and is, that I do not think she was doing anything wrong. To Hell with what others think; I just don't see anything wrong with this activity.
