Nooks and Krannies.

I have been in the Springs for many years only to realize at this time and moment of day I dont really know what to do here. Hot Springs is somewhat of a tourist town so I know there have to be things to do out there. But what? I can not believe I havent taken the time to take advantage or go out and stroll to see what this town has to offer. So men and women alike. What would you do if you were here? Oaklawn is a given. blah blah. The Lakes.. another given. What else is there to do here?
The Aquarium is nice. Alligator farm was fun. I had a good time shopping for health giving crystals. Offering out of towners drinks out of the hot water fountains very entertaining. Be prepared to flee at moments notice.

Not much to do in HS if you arent into playing the horses, or fishing, but there are a couple of bars I like. Check out the nice little Irish pub on the top floor of the shopping complex on Central Ave. I forget the name, but it's in the same area as the Brauhaus (another haunt I recommend).

if you like pottery, either to look at or use, i HIGHLY recommend Fox Pass pottery. wonderful stuff to look at, use, and purchase for anyone. you can find it in the phonebook.

i also recommend Bohemia for some excellent eastern European food. gallery walk hasn't been mentioned yet and there are at least 3 nice galleries. those are the only recommendations off the top of my head.

on a sad side note, you just missed the international food bazaar at Henderson State University. all of the international students have a cultural festival in one of the gyms. they bring native food (with correct ingredients) and share their cultures as best they can. it's really a fun yearly event and the buffet alone is well worth the price.
