sites to watch shows and movies online

Tex9401's Avatar
With my on-call work schedule, it makes it hard to keep with my favorites shows. Anyone have websites for watching TV Shows and Movies online for free?
I was on Hulu.com but, limited quite of bit of stuff on there now unless you get the Hulu plus.

Thanks

I am in love with http://www.icefilms.info/ right now.

Follow the set up instructions on this page - http://forum.icefilms.info/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=19906

"icefilms.info Streaming: DivX Web Player (Automatic)"
--for most PC users will be the first "show" button--

Once you get set up -

Just search in the top right for a movie or show you want to watch - click the source - wait 45 seconds (perfect time to get a beer and some jerky)

Then sit back down and enjoy.

I use this all the time.. I love having hdmi on my laptop. *smile*

One of my Buddies got me hooked Whale Wars and few other shows when I came over. He moved away at the end of last month.
I get on Justin.TV at times.
when i was downloading and burning dvd's to catch up on big love (i've still not seen the last two seasons - ran out of dvd's - i don't like watching on my laptop...i'd rather be doing something online at the same time. granted - I did watch that escort call girl show with Rose from doctor who as bella - for two days straight on my laptop. LMAO)

anyways - I was downloading via a bit torrent type site - Vuze.com I believe.

It will use a LOT of resources - and you'll need a virtual drive to trick it into burning it onto a dvd. (divx program is used to do the burning as well)

should you want to do it that way.

Angie- I need to show you how to use an HDMI or an svideo/audio cable set. You can watch on your television while still playing on the computer.

I do it all the time.
cool

On Bit torrents, If you use too much bandwidth, then IP company will start putting limits on you. I got two different desktops crashed the HDs with some nasty viruses and trojans from bit torrents.

I got the first and second season of Secret Diary of A Call Girl for $12.
I got TV seasons for $6 season. Some older movies for $3 each. This was at Big Lots.

Icefilms is completely free and you can stream as much as possible from them without any BW issues...

I am a pirate by nature... so I hate paying anything for content...

I use LG BD670 to stream movies from laptop that has windows 7. Also have hdmi port on laptop if I need to connect to a tv. Monoprice.com sells a dvi-hdmi cable to connect to your TV, if you don't have the hdmi port on your laptop. USB thumbdrives also work well.

I use uTorrent & grab files from pir@tebay. I use btguard to mask IP and Kaspersky Antivirus. So far so good. Just watched a whole season of Game of Thrones in one weekend.

I also subscribe to netflix but might scrap that subscription.
And have a DVR for shows running currently - Colbert Report, Daily Show, etc..

*the LG blu ray is on sale at newegg for $160. Pretty good considering I bought mine for 200 from worst buy.

Forgot to add, I'm looking for a site I can stream NFL games from. A few years back there were some good ones but now I can't find a reliable one anymore.
