TV ad sparks curiosity... smartphone card readers?

So, I've seen the ads, a buddy of mine just recently set one up for his landscaping side business... Those Credit card readers that work with smartphones. Anyone every heard of a provider accepting donations with one of those? Revolutionary, huh? HA HA!...

Providers, fellow hobbyists... would you use that option?

Its funny, because while I have noticed a few "legit" eccie ladies that take them, I've noticed most of the girls that have the "accepting credit card" picture on their backpage ad, are the scammers.

Let me tell you how this works:

Once she gets your money, it is very hard to reverse because the way the scam works is ... you swipe your card, the money goes into one account and then her/their pimp (likely while sitting in the parking lot or on your street) transfers that money from the "square card reader account" to a 2ed account not connected to the square card and BAM your money is gone that quick.

This can be done in less then 10 minutes, all while she is sweet talking you to your face and stalling time, once she gets a text from her pimp that the money has been transferred .... she is suddenly not a hooker, you are mistaken, you have offend her and she is out the door, leaving .... with no refund to you.

Now it's on you to fight that $300 hooker charge you just made with your bank ... and let the paper work begin

But pimp daddy just got your money regardless because now that it has been transferred to the 2ed account, it is now untouchable by the "square card reader" company.

Funds from all Square transactions are deposited directly to your linked bank account.

For manually-entered payments (payments for which the card is not swiped), there is an initial $2,002 weekly deposit limit. If you notice that a portion of your manually-entered payments are deferred for 30 days, it's likely you exceeded the default payout amount of $2,002 per week for manually-entered payments. Request an increase to your payout amount.

In general, payments taken during normal business hours (before 5pm PT) are available in your bank account the next business day. The table below details Square's deposit time frames.

I have looked at a lot of these for use in my pc repair work side work.... They do hold the right to refuse processing if the business you are running seems illegal.
