There is money to be made and there are people who will support slavery, indentured servitude, or prison labor to make a profit.

Additionally--to the homeless issue--some localities will criminalize it for economic reasons:
--They want the homeless to move somewhere else so they don't have to provide services; if Alabama can get then to head north to Tenn., then it's no longer Alabama's problem (and no, it isn't a Southern only issue).
--Second, localities see homelessness as a threat to their tourism industry. Over the years I know Virginia Beach, Atlanta, and Atlantic City have all used that tactic in advance or tourist season.

Agree, and it didn't work in VaBeach back in the dark ages when I know they tried it. But that was the rationale they gave. Governments have tried many things that make no sense, were poorly implemented, and failed miserably.

That's sick. Just so a few can have a little more. Makes my stomach turn, especially knowing the facts of how corporations and banks only care about one thing: PROFIT. It's a monopoly that is not good for the whole and I hope and pray that somehow, we defeat these "Elites". I am not paying one more dime in taxes to support major corporations, the banks, and who knows so they can get richer. People are more important, in my opinion. And, by the way, Mr. Rothschild (did I spell that right), we are the 99 percent majority, so you are outnumbered.
