Blood moon/Lunar eclipse tonight

Just some fun stuff...

Tonight is supposed to be a very large blood moon with Mars in closest proximity in some time and a mostly lunar eclipse. It looks like you've got to be in the Southern Hemisphere to see the full eclipse but we should still get an interesting site tonight.

If I read this right, we should see the moon emerging from the eclipse. Either way, it should be a beautiful site tonight.

A full lunar eclipse is for sure an awesome sight. I’m thinking the eclipse has already happened, just wasn’t viewable from the Western Hemisphere. You can replay the live cast of it though on the first link on your other post.

Last night was a pretty decent view of I believe it was Mars, fairly close to the moon around 9:30pm. Probably will be up again tonight, not sure though.

I remember the first time I saw a large blood moon, I was like 5 years old and had been watching sci-fi movies and thought it was about to crash into us... damn funny now!

Yes unfortunately us in North America were not able to view it. However the energy from this splendid event will be felt for days. A luner eclipse blood moon in the house of Aquarius is very powerful and demanding. August 11th we have another eclipse in Leo and it will be the final trilogy of cosmic shifting.
