Irreversible (French)
A Most Wanted Man
The Horseman (Austrailian)
Blue Valentine
Leaving Las Vegas
Days of Wine and Roses (black and white makes this doubly depressing)
Requiem for a Dream.
Antichrist.

I also find Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind extremely depressing. These two have a a terrible relationship and we are supposed to cheer for them to get back together? Not me sonny jim. Not me.

Can't believe I forgot Lars Von Triers' Dancer in the Dark (2000)! I'm not sure whether that should be number 4 or higher though.
