Dallas motel/hotels

I am looking for a decent motel/hotel to stay in 4 nights. I am looking for quiet and peaceful. I am thinking The Grand Hotel. But it has mixed reviews.

Price IS a concern.

what amenities are you wanting - indool pool and/or jacuzzi/spa, free wifi, restaurant, bar, super luxurious bed, ... ????

oh, and i bet you'd like them to have a preferred list of providers to call :^)
[kinda like the "Where" books in hotels...]

NEEDSecent bed, free and excellent wifi, cable TV (hate satellite) fridge and microwave, couch.
No criminals, no rednecks, no hood rats.

A kitchenette would be a plus.
Under $50 would be awesome

Priceline, Hotwire, etc,....all work great on a $50 budget. You pick the star rating.

"on the east side" - east side of what? dallas, garland, addison, richardson, rowlett?? or upper east side or lower east side [near SOHO]? :^)

i'm asking cos the more specific your request the higher the probability you'll get some good answers.

i 2nd katrina's and Gnostalgia's suggestions - use priceline or hotels.com or hotwire, etc. once you know the area you want to be in, orbitz is good to get a price range. then go to the bidding sites, select that area, the number of stars, and underbid the going prices on orbitz.

good luck.

i like to use hotels.com and they give you a free night stay when you book 10 nights with them pretty sweet deal

I don't know where I am staying and don't particularly care. I get a few days before I find out if my job here is getting extended or is over. I just want to be in the Dallas area. I am not worried about what part.

priceline is great to get a 3 or 4 star for under 100

have fun!
