Has anybody else noticed this?

SW and their customers get arrested pretty regularly, and sting operations that set up in local hotels are a pretty common story, but when was the last time an independent or john got busted at a private home or apartment? Be it in-call or out, I don't remember hearing of it.
Sure, a house with many girls, next door to a daycare, got busted a while back, but I'm talking about independent girls, either doing out-calls to a residence, or accepting in-call at their home.

Has anyone else noticed this?
Wouldn't surprise me. LE will go for the low-hanging fruit and the big complaint sources first. That said, I seem to recall earlier this year a report that one of the Asian apartment-based massage providers got busted - but that was a case where the out-of-place car traffic into the complex caused someone to complain.

LE is going to go after what the public complains about first, what they consider a public nusiance or eye sore like SW's or run down notels. as long as an independant isn't loud or obnoxious to residents and stays relatively low key they will stay under the radar. you hear about more people getting busted pissing in a yard in lower greenville than indy's getting busted cause thats what the neighbors see and complain about. It's a puzzle to me then, why I see ads that say "out-call to hotels only", and "hotel friendly". If I was a provider, I think I'd say the opposite unless that was my bread n butter.

Providers, care to estimate the percentage of your business that is outcall to hotels? I suppose it's different in different cities.

It just seems contrary to do all that screening, and P-411, and the two call dance when giving directions, then walk into a situation favored by Le for less than the bail would be.

Just my opinion, it shouldn't be taken too seriously. It never has been before.

Outcall to hotels is a much lower percentage than weekday incall, for me much lower.
I will do the outcall, but I screen diligently. LE will bust indies in incall, but usually there's been a complaint or a tip off made. The most incall indie busts I've ever seen in the news have been in from advertising on CL or BP. Not that there's anything wrong with that, just to me it's the riskiest place to advertise.

Here in Oklahoma City, the police will set up stings using CL (and, I suspect BP) ads offering outcall. Last year a man was arrested in his home in one of the more affluent neighborhoods of our city.

3) Familiarity/convenience: she may know the major hotels & feel comfortable there. She may not know or want to know all the neigborhoods. This saves her from having to try to figure out on the fly if you are inviting her to the 'hood.
That OKC story is a little scary. That's the first time I've ever read or heard of an LE sting of a client at his home. Like the OP, I didn't think LE did outcall!

As to hotel only, to add to altcomedy's list, I'd also think that most hotels outcalls are traveling businessmen and they might be, on average, more affluent clientele than the average home/apartment outcall, especially if she limits herself to nicer hotels. I know you can do some research on home appraisal as well to see if it's an upscale home, but that takes a little more knowledge than just knowing which are the nice hotels.

I suspect the safety factor already listed, however, is the biggest reason someone would do hotel only.
I agree with Altcomedy and Shackleton: most of my business is from hotel outcalls, and I prefer it that way. I'll do incalls, but also at the hotel of my choice. I would never, ever do an outcall to a gent's home...I don't care where he lives! Its just too risky for me to be in an unfamiliar area, with someone I don't know, in a home that could be used for any manner of things. With a hotel, I can see you before you come in, and even ask for ID before I let you into the suite. I also don't do private incalls...I don't need anyone knowing where to find me later or doing something that would cause my neighbors to have reason to complain.

Everyone has their reasons, but for me, hotels are favored. Yeah, LE does its stings, but some of that risk can be mitigated by proper screening and being choosy about hotels you visit. I've never seen LE spend on a 4-5 star hotel.

it is strange how most stings you hear of happen at hotels...all of the stings i haveheard of were hotels. im guessing they may not use houses because neighboors would see them setting up and the word would probably leak outmore quickly.

Usually a outcall sting from a private residence involves busting the provider. Client flips for LE to get out of there own charges (i.e.= drugs, robbery, and so on).
