An unusual song by him in terms of content. But what really makes this song fascinating is the instruments used, and when. Bongos and cowbells......snare drum only once in a while....whining of the pedal steel guitar.

I'm not a fan, only a couple of his songs are appealing for me. But there is no denying the artistry of this song. Same for Prince. When Doves cry was brilliant.
