Candle wax in carpets

MoonlightingDancer's Avatar
Hello ladies & gentlemen,
This maybe a no brainer but I was hoping to get some personal feed back as how to get candle wax out of carpets. Please don't just Google & attach links. Only mention what has personally worked for you.
I've tried a few different things; scraping, freezing then scraping/brushing, heating with blow dryer, scrubbing with warm soapy (dawn dish soap) water and even have Hoover vacuumed over the areas several times...
Any suggestions would be appreciated....
Thanks💋

Get yourself an iron or Shark Steamer. Put a few paper towels over the wax and iron the hell out of it. The iron will melt the wax and the paper towels will absorb. Change paper towels often. Has worked for me for low and mid pile carpet
Second that..but I use a dish towel then run my spot bot over it..

It really depends on the candle wax. If the candle is 100% soy wax its just wipe up. The paraffin candles are a lot messier and more difficult.

that is why I use a plastic sheet on floor....another suggestion is to use the plastic part of the twister game

Thanks for the feed back.....
I own a carpet cleaning company. And 1st let me say that alot does depend on the color of the candle if it's like say red the dye may not come out. I do have stuff that takes red out. Also the iron does work often but be careful as it can and will melt the carpet. If you use a cloth make sure it's white and cotton. Sometimes a paper grocery bag works well. If you want me to call you later send me a pm. I'm somewhat in your area.
If you know someone that has a Rainbo Vacuum then it will pull a lot of it up. You get a cup of hot water and rub it on the spot. Let it set and get the rainbo put some water in it but do nt fill it up. Go over the spot with the wand or hose it may take a bit but the rainbo will work. Have a good day.

Been through this with wax and melted crayons before and this will work: First try lifting most with the iron as they said. Everything left behind can be dissolved and cleaned up with WD40 spray/paper towels or cloths, and a lot of patience. Afterward clean the oily spot with Dawn dish washing liquid.

This also works for car interiors for those that have messy kids. Crayons in the sun are murder with their bright colors.

Move, change apartments... Problem solved.
Like mentioned above. I have always found that a old cotton towel has worked better then a papertowel. Iron the towel to get the wax out of the carpet. The cotton towel seems to draw the wax away from the carpet. This will leave a color stain that matches the candle. Then to remove the color left from the wax, spray Resolve and follow the directions. Works every time for me.

It works so well that if I am fuck'in hard, I can care less as I know it will come out.

Assuming that is what happened.
Citrus try lime first .
5th gen bar owner every thing in the world has been tracked in on the carpets and a fresh lime wedge are two works on almost everything .

On a side note if it doesnt i make a margarita and relax .If it does i make a margarita and relax .
