why care about actors ?

VitaMan's Avatar
Why are we supposed to be interested in actors when they show up at
different places ? Most of them are lucky to be working.

There is a protest of a pipeline going on in North Dakota. Immediately when
a grade B actor shows up, they have to mention it, and write a news story about it. Why ?

Because no matter what it gets people like you talking about it in one way or another.
actors and Hollywood need every customer.

they can't discriminate

they'll suck anybody's dick for money

even catholics

I sooooo agree. I have no care or infatuation with the celebrity world whatsoever. People want to praise their hard work and how talented they are ... get the fuck out of here. Then they want to shed tears for them when they fall on hard times or die. I could give a shit about some stranger that makes 50k plus per episode or 1 million plus per movie when they fall on hard times or get depressed. They have unlimited resources, cry me a freaking river.

The people we should be putting on pedestals are medical professionals and people that save lives and dedicate their lives to helping others.

Now being at this event and sitting where I sat people thought I was someone important because of the cost of the seats but when the security stopped me as I approached I tried to save face. So I talked to a lesser famous member of the entourage and they engaged me but nonetheless it was still embarrassing. It was one of the worst experiences ever because I knew it would happen but I was trying to make some people happy and embarrassed myself in front of so many people. I said fuck it all I could do is laugh. I got up and eventually did get a selfie with another famous person but still it only reinforced that you have to be in that social club to get access.

That experience still bothers me to this day. can't tell you how many face palms I've done over it.

Absolutely indifferent about actors. Do your fucking job, don't suck ass, and try to entertain me. I couldn't care less what you do outside your profession.

The thing about actors is we actually believe they did some of the interesting things. For example,I know none of the actors on Star Trek went to star fleet academy. But it must have been fun riding around on the spaceships, and meeting all those aliens.

You exist for my entertainment. Some of you are great eye candy. Some of you can deliver a line with such conviction that you bring tears to my eyes. Some of you can scare the crap out of me. Others make me laugh. But you all have one thing in common, you only have a place in my world to entertain me. That’s it.
You make your living pretending to be someone else. Playing dress up like a 6 year old. You live in a make believe world in front of a camera. And often when you are away from one too. Your entire existence depends on my patronage.
I’ll crank the organ grinder; you dance.
I don’t really care where you stand on issues. Honestly, your stance matters far less to me than that of my neighbor. You see, you aren’t real. I turn off my TV or shut down my computer and you cease to exist in my world. Once I am done with you, I can put you back in your little box until I want you to entertain me again.
I don’t care that you think the BP executives deserve the death penalty. But I bet you looked cute saying it.
And you? Really? I’m supposed to care what the director of fluffy tripe made for gullible people thinks about global warming or gun control? Get back into your bubble. I’ll let you know when I’m in the mood for something blue and shiny.
And I'm also supposed to care that you will leave this great country if Trump becomes president? Ha. Please don't forget to close the door behind you.
We'd like to reserve your seat for someone who loves this country and really wants to be here.
Make me laugh, or cry. Scare me. But realize that the only words of yours that matter are scripted. I might agree with some of you from time to time, but it doesn’t matter. In my world, you exist solely for my entertainment
So, shut your pie hole and dance, monkey.... dance!"

I'm not gonna hate on them though for the sake of hating. Always stop and imagine yourself as a celebrity before you cast too many stones their way. I probably would be doing some of the shit they do as well. I mean for real if people literally worshiped me like they did Michael Jackson I know I would consider myself a God. This couldn't be me cuz I'd go crazy like he did.

Celebrities aren't the problem. The problem is the people that look up to them. They are just people....some much worse than others.

It goes with the images created, vs. the reality.

James Dean became iconic for playing in "Rebel without a Cause." Teenagers looked up to him.

But nothing could be further from the truth. He worked for one of the biggest US corporations at the time.
No rebel there.
