Anybody here work in HVAC?

Anybody here work in the field of HVAC? I have some questions about installing a particular type of heating/cooling system in my home (what, why, how much, etc.) and I'd like to talk to someone who has inside info on how the industry works and why certain things are so, so varied in price and availability.

If you need anymore advice let me know. Usually something like this requires detailed info about the residence or a visit to determine variable values. My brother does this work for a living, but he can give you a better price if he does it on the side.
