Copy A Post?

Still Looking's Avatar
I just can't seem to figure out how to copy and forward a single post. I know it can be done as I have received single posts via PM. HELP?

Example: I see a post in COED. I want to move that post and start a conversation in ML. How do I do that so everyone in the ML can see the actual post rather than posting a link and post number?

Notice that the link # is also a hyperlink? You can use that to get a single post URL out of a thread. (It appends the postcount variable for you)

Example: your post #1 in this thread is: http://www.eccie.net/showpost.php?p=...34&postcount=1

  1. Use the button of the post you wish to place in your post.
  2. Copy all of the text in the post, including the QUOTE tags, to your clipboard. Do not click on Submit Reply, just copy the text.
  3. Go to the forum where you wish to start your thread. In you new post, paste what you copied to the clipboard.
  4. Now you have the post in your new post as a quote.

Nothing to it!
