People also come here to socialize, make friends and share information behind the scenes. I myself feel a lot more comfortable sharing info with someone I actually know. I made many friends in the old HPT forum on aspd.
If you don't like a political forum then just don't particapate in it.
Is there anything that you've posted that isn't hobby related?

One thing about the old ASPD was community. And part of that is sharing.
So is sharing sports, music, financial, auto, technology and other types of information a bad thing? Is it worth the server space to allow those types of information to be shared? Each member can decide on the first, only adminstration can decide the second.
Can members benefit from information on the above topics here or elsewhere?
Can other websites treat both sides of the question fairly? Most "places" tend to take one side or the other, based on previous experience. However, if someone knows a net space where politic concepts and ideas can be shared in a mult-phased forum, please share that.
And as Dali said, you don't have to participate, and the Houston forum was pretty lively. Well just one old man's ideas and thoughts....
