Yeah! Radicalism/liberalism was GREAT in 1776 (because conservatives wanted to hang the founders and let King George rule - they were Tories), but NOT today, no!

It's even funnier because today conservatives praise progressivism and liberal (new) ideas in business, but argue for "no more progress" in government (or even roll it back) at the exact same time. Seems a little hypocritical to me. What do you think?
Going to be watching these till 3am... then I will watch them again... and again.

When I think of the Tea Party, it reminds me of a quote from George Carlin: " Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large group ".

Irving Kristol remarked that a neoconservative is a "liberal mugged by reality", one who became more conservative after seeing the results of liberal policies. Kristol also distinguished three specific aspects of neoconservatism from previous types of conservatism: neo-conservatives had a forward-looking attitude from their liberal heritage, rather than the reactionary and dour attitude of previous conservatives; they had a meliorative attitude, proposing alternate reforms rather than simply attacking social liberal reforms; they took philosophical ideas and ideologies very seriously.[64]

I'm sure you cherish that old saying but the fact is labels are constantly evolving based upon the give and take of politics and the never ending efforts to discredit the other side and pump up your own.
Suffice it to say that my definition of conservatism believes it has the same principles the founders and the people who made America great had, and liberal policies keep creating disasters like Detroit, New York City's bankruptcy in the 70's, communist Russia, and Mao's China.
I prefer the time back when men were men and the bills got paid on time.
