Eagle Cam (eggs hatching soon)

tia travels's Avatar
I've been watching almost a month.
Eggs today showed open crack with movement and feathers inside.
I'm guessing they'll be hatching sometime in the next 2 days.
It must be soon because a couple of weeks ago, the VIEWS at any one moment averaged 1000-1400.
The last couple of days they're up to 3000-3600....so it must be getting close!

Ahhhh, one just hatched now.....noon ET on the 19th.
There's one other egg still yet to hatch.

Watch them as they grow up....

The camera zooms to the mate sometimes in a tree nearby or bringing food to the nest. You see closeups of the eggs too. Camera's not always stationary.

Okay...I don't know why the other one suddenly doesn't work anymore.
It was working for a couple months.
This seems to be the replacement cam:

Also, if you want to watch the Dad feed the youngster today,
you can view it here:
(the nest must smell nasty w/all those fish carcasses &

whatever other animal is there with buck teeth...)

I hope the other egg eventually hatches.
Poor thing.
That little one is growing fast in just one day!

Oh cool...one of the eagles just brought
in a fresh kill fish...it's still moving as I am posting this.
(Can you tell I'm fascinated by this stuff?)

The eaglet didn't make it.
Bled to death last week.
Their other egg never hatched.
A sad situation all the way around.
