You would think the message had gotten out that you just do not shoot unarmed people. Especially young Black Men.

Here we go again.

Shooting a burglar in Texas is an accepted practice.
From the article

He said, however, that surveillance video shows Taylor engaged in “criminal activity” before the shooting, crashing through the dealership’s metal gate, getting out of his SUV and damaging a vehicle parked in the lot, and later driving through the showroom glass.

The video does not show the shooting, Rodriguez said.
Obviously this school doesn't have enough rich alumni to provide Taylor with a new Benz and a couple of grand under the table.

Anybody want to go "roll" someone's house tonight?

Its getting to the point that we have parity; someone unarmed is getting shot and someone lies about what the police did to them. Of course, we're only talking about black people since no one cares when a white person is shot or lies about police. Do I get in trouble here for saying ALL lives matter? I am also noting that some marginal people (of any color) seemed to be emboldened lately with how the media and elites have turned on the police. Maybe that has something to do with the latest wave of problems.

You drive a vehicle through a plate glass window of a car dealership, I guess you take your chances with the cops. I saw a headline tonight from the Guardian or some rag in Britain...."Black Football Player Shot by Texas Police".....unbelievable.

Fuck that guy. Sounds like he got exactly what he deserved.

What all of you do no realize is that this is a new policy slowly creeping into police work in the U.S. There is a consultant out there teaching departments that the best policy is that at the first sign of resistance of any type to pull out your gun and start shooting people. There was a long story on various web sites about the guy. Lots of departments use him for the defense anytime a police office shoots someone in the line of duty. This is why there has been an explosion of police offices shooting unarmed people in the last few years.
Yes, it's from the consulting firm of "Go Back To Your Family Officer". Link? You are the most intellectually dishonest poster BigLouse on this board.

And you sir are another one of those who seem to think that juvenile name calling is a great substitute for adult discussion.

His name is Dr. William J. Lewinski. Not only are American police, from coast to coast, shooting first and asking questions later, they are being trained to do so in seminars by Dr. Lewinski who openly promises them that he'll testify on their behalf if anything ever goes wrong. He's already done it nearly 200 times. Dr. Lewinski is basically training police to shoot before making a full assessment of the true threat. Because of this philosophy, it leans on the implicit bias within each and every officer. It's why officers in New York fired 41 shots at Amadou Diallo when he was pulling out his wallet. It's why Officer Dante Servin blew Rekia Boyd's head off when he saw her boyfriend pull out a cell phone.

Why don't you do a little research on your own. You do know how to Google don't you. Or is name calling your only talent.

And actually that's not a "new policy" ... it's just we now have 24/7 news.

Tennessee vs. Garner, SCOTUS 1985 .... 30 friggin years ago!

"JUSTICE WHITE delivered the opinion of the Court.

"This case requires us to determine the constitutionality of the use of deadly force to prevent the escape of an apparently unarmed suspected felon. We conclude that such force may not be used unless it is necessary to prevent the escape and the officer has probable cause to believe that the suspect poses a significant threat of death or serious physical injury to the officer or others."

During the next 30 years to this year, I believe, the SCOTUS has explained and clarified the use of deadly force by police officers in confrontations with citizens, and some of those cases have involved automobiles being driven by the person killed. The years prior to Tennessee vs. Garner were clearly less strict than the years afterward with regard to the response of police in confrontations with citizens.

What policy did the policeman violate who shot Michael Brown?

It's not name calling when it is true. Again, you are the most intellectually dishonest poster in this forum and have been for many years.
