trouble seeing pic's in W & I

I am looking at post in the W & I , and on several there are no pic's. only the word attachment. now some hobbiest are seeing these pic,s from the comments they are writing. is the problem with me or the site. I have a very good internet connection and good speed with time warner. please advise me on this situation.
