The Burning Man Experiment/Festival (Pics Inside)

BM is a mixed art festival/experiment held on Federal BLM land, deep in the high dessert of Nevada about 3 hours from Reno. This was Trees 4th burn since 2007 which has grown to over 60,000 attendees. Notwithstanding that almost no life (and no trees) can survive the harsh moon-like conditions, some of the greatest works of art, creativity, survival, collaboration and pure love is exchanged during the course of a raging and ravaging week that is Burning Man.

For those inclined toward wild, dangerous and often-times scary-sexy views and activities... Burning Man is worth checking out. See, http://www.burningman.com/

Not a single photo of this years temple? I had a shrine placed inside of it this years, by some friends, to honor a fallen friend. They had had specific instructions I gave them to honor him. I got word today that these instructions were carried out. It was an emotional evening for me, knowing the burn took place, with him inside.

And thanks for the pics. Including the celeb.

Is this true? I've wanted to attend for years and nearly did three years ago. But it's a bitch to get there, etc. I sure would like to make it one year, at least.

GREAT pictures and thanks for sharing!!!

Thanks Trees. Great pics, I have always wanted to go and almost made it this year. Do you recommend taking a female companion with you? Or are the freelancing opportunities worth traveling alone?
Burning Man is on my bucket list. Have you heard of Zozobra? It happens in the autumn during the Fiestas de Santa Fe. The effigy is also referred to as the Boogeyman of Santa Fe; festival attendees throw in their bad memories, old bills, photos, etc almost as a cleansing ritual. It is very spiritual and if you are a fan of burning man, you should look into Zozobra.

You can read more about it at www.burnzozobra.com

Looks like fun! Great pics, a few are as good as any pro shots. So how many points did you give yourself for the image violations (below the waist nudity, depicting genetalia)? You can't post TWAT SHOTS in open forums. They are still not in private tags, could Wake Up be right?
