Waco Kid's College Football week 10

The_Waco_Kid's Avatar
What is Waco Kid's Weekly College Football Review? It is an ongoing weekly review of all things College Football!!

Each week upcoming games can be discussed and predictions made, name-calling after victories and general all-around college football discussion! Each week will be closed out by the next Monday and a new thread opened for the current college football schedule for each week.

Rules -

"Rules?? We don't need no stinkin’ rules!”

Actually we do.

WKWCFR rule 1

"Lies, damn lies and statistics!"

British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli

If you quote a stat, record, 3rd down conversion rate, an all-time mark or the number of jock straps an 85-man team needs ...

Post it! If you can't post a link to it, it's bogus!
What's valid in the Internet age? Just about anything! Any of the major sports publications, local newspapers, any of the big networks and official school and NCAA sites just to cover the big ones.

WKWCFR rule 2

Predictions must be posted 1 day in advance! If you haven't read the sports page and figgured out who's going to win by the day before ya never will!

Must be time stamped before Midnight the day before game-day, for any weekly games Thur-Sun on the current weekly schedule.

So there you have it, pretty basic! You can post on general topics of your favorite teams regardless of that week's opponent. Just remember WKWCFR rule 1

I love late November chaos.
The_Waco_Kid's Avatar
especially if it puts Bama back in the BCS title game? Probably against Notre Dame.
Having both Oregon and K State lose in the same week i wouldn't have bet on that. ND still has an interesting game at USC but Barkley may not play. USC could still upset ND.
UGA and Bama should win out and play for the SEC title. That would put ND vs. UGA/Bama winner for the BCS Title.
The_Waco_Kid's Avatar
Two major unbeaten teams lose in the same weekend. The Chaos factor strikes Oregon and K State from the BCS title game. ND, yes ND is the only major undefeated player, and will play the winner of the SEC title game for the BCS title. Probably UGA vs. Bama for the SEC.

Winner: Michigan
Iowa sucks .. again under Frentz. Pull the plug and get a new coach. UM on the other hand, needs to win this in the big house for some Mo .. next week.

UM gets the strong tuneup it wanted going up against Pope Urbie II in the first year of his reign in Columbus.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: FSU
This is a Jimbo trap game. Lose this one and the hate mailers will pounce to their keyboards. LOL.

10 Florida St 41

Maryland 14
Free Shoes U runs wild over Maryland, leaving Jimbo on top of a short list of 1 loss teams suddenly wanting a playoff.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: Cincinnati
If Cincy .. yes Cincy, has a shot to the Feista Bowl they must upset Rutgers. And it's time for Rutgers like UofL last week, to finally lose.

22 Rutgers 10

Cincinnati 3
Cincy had its shot and lost. Rutgers moves to a showdown with Louisville that should decide the Big Loser.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: Alabama
No way Saban loses this game. NONE. Bama comes out jacked and this is over by halftime.

W Carolina 0
4 Alabama 49
Just what you'd expect from Saban. Bama roars back and gets a new chance at the BCS title thanks to some football Chaos.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: S Carolina
The HBC slips an "academic" school on the schedule for a nice late season cream puff.

Wofford 7
9 S Carolina 24
SC could have showed more offense but this wasn't as close as it looks by the score.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: Florida
Don't care who Willy plays at QB. SCORE some points, dude.

J'ville St 0
6 Florida 23
Well 23 points is a start. For the first half LOL. Where's the points, Willy?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: UGA
And another late SEC cream puff. For all the SEC's swagger, and a lot of it they earned, they all back load easy miss-matches late.

GA Southern 14
5 Georgia 45
UGA gets an easy tuneup and moves to sweep the state of GA while looking at a spot in the BCS title game.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: Washington
The Shark labors still in Seattle while his buddy Kiffy basks in LA. But unlike Kiffy, the Shark has nowhere to go but up.

25 Washington 38

Colorado 3
And up into the top 25 UW goes. On a day when Kiffy lost to city rival UCLA the Shark's gig may be on the upswing.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: USC
Easy to go with upstart UCLA but SC pulls out a high scoring affair.

18 USC 28
17 UCLA 38
So much for playing the "upset" here, i had SC to get to the BCS title game early in the season and now they can't even beat the Bruins.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: Texas A&M
speaking of the SEC, A&M falls right in with the pack, with a late year cupcake of its own.

Sam Houston 28
8 Texas A&M 47
A&M shows no letdown here. Who cares if John Boy can't kick a PAT?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: Nebraska
Bo knows UMinn sucks and he better not lose this game. Talent alone should get Bo 35 points. Let's see 'em.

38 points. That'll work for Bo and the bugeaters, who have stumbled on offense all year despite the talent to score big.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: Clemson
Now this is a in-state game Bowden probably would win. Yer up, Dabo. Win.

N.C. St 48
11 Clemson 62
Win Dabo does. giving up 48 even late with key starters sitting is kinda worrisome but the 62 points more than make up for that.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: ND
At home, ND the kings of winning dangerously, prevail. Probably. LOL. I hate ND but i'll pick 'em to win anyway.

Wake Forest 0
3 Notre Dame 38
Well ND finally shows a dominant game. Too bad WF is a patsy. One to go, Irish and you play for the Big Glass Ball.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: LSU
Going all in with Crazy Lester. And Mizzu sucks.

Mississippi 35
7 LSU 41
Of course Lester almost let Miss come back but not quite. That's Crazy Lester for you. Roar Mikey.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: OSU
Tubby loses his inner Pirate to Youtube Gundy in T Boone's house.

YouTube Gundy puts a smack down on Tubby. Still, Tubby might get 8 wins which is, like more than he won in his previous 3 years. LOL.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: LA Tech
didn't Bradshaw play here? Yep. and got beat out by the "Duck Commander" till he was a junior. LA tech is this year's "hot" scoring team.

Utah St 48
20 LA Tech 41
So much for picking the "hot" scoring team, eh? Shoulda figured LA Tech was due to lose.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: W VA
Beware, Big Game Bozo! TRAP GAME. light them couches in Morgantown.

12 Oklahoma 50

W Virginia 49
Almost got my ZerOU upset. 1 point. Close but no cigar.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: K State
Going all in with Snyder.

1 Kansas St 24

Baylor 52
The Chaos factor takes out Snyder and K State. And this wasn't even close.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: Oregon
Stanford's new QB isn't that LUCKy, is he? Nope. Expect Duckies to show some defense too.

13 Stanford 17
2 Oregon 14
Well the Ducks also fall to The Chaos factor. At least Stanford is ranked which could help Oregon later.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winner: Cal

Going all in with TeddyBear.

California 14
16 Oregon St 62
LOL TeddyBear gets his stuffing ripped out. So much for that upset pick.

I believe I called Bama vs ND around week 5. Still gotta get through a GA team that's immensely talented and frankly the only advantages we have are their shaky offensive line and the fact that under Richt they've tended to crap the bed in big games, particularly lately. Well we still have to get through Auburn but Bama's covering the spread on that game, whatever it is, mark it down. Auburn sucks and Saban dislikes Cheezedick and will pull no punches.

you have to admit OState has the best 3 qbs combo in the country, I wish we could play that UT game again

Who will win the Big 12? alot of possibilities

btw we won Cross Country giving us our 51 national title, nobody else in the Big 12 can make that claim

here is a little funny on Lester
