SnapChat users beware

The latest version of SnapChat includes a feature called Snap Map which could reveal your current location to the world (including stalkers, nosey spouses, governmnet agents etc.). Just google "snap map" and there are plenty of articles describing the issue and how to disable it. I don't use it personally, but I have seen Snapcodes included on at least a few backpage ads. So I thought the warning would be relevant to this community.

You can also put yourself on ghost mode for those not wanting to share location.
Sounds like they're trying to copy periscope when it comes to live broadcasts.

I figure if LE wanted to find you through a app, it would be a piece of cake, users get too comfortable with a false sense of security thinking they won't be traced by turning off location. If you don't want to be found, don't put your life on social media
