It could be like the golden age of Craigslist all over again. But better.

I don't see what the "Eureka, I've found it!" aspect of apps like this and Über is. In fact, there is nothing cutting edge about any of these. There is still a third party involved and at some point it will charge, but it really changes little. Über by any other name is a taxi dispatch service. No big deal, they just did it first. Emporor's new clothes. With Über the adjustment to put Über drivers on the same basis as cab drivers has been quick just like it was with Napster and a host of others. In the case of escorts that won't be needed because everything is already in place to deal with it whether it bee law enforcement, referral or electronic frontiers. Your phone works with or without this app and so it's no biggie. It may even be worse. "Hey everybody here are my terms and what I want? Really? Okay, fire up your bail bond app, too.

I notice this is a German developer so in legalized areas it will be a convenience only. But how many such areas are that wide open, even Amsterdam. I submit not many.

I like the idea. I've wanted an app for those last minute urges where there's not much time to plan something. But then I have enough numbers in my little black book that I can usually find something.

But let's say we could design our own app? What would providers and hobbyist like to see? Our current system isn't so bad, but there's still plenty of areas technology has helped out. Just because it's the world's oldest profession doesn't mean we can't expand it farther than internet message boards.
