Are sex addicts demonized more than other addicts

A person can become addicted to many different things. It seems like sex addicts are considered by the public to be worse than other addicts. For instance in some cities the police put your picture up on billboards or in the newspaper if you're caught with an escort. They try to publicly humiliate you. Why don't they do that with drug addicts or alcoholics?

I dont think sex addiction or the love of sex is a bad thing however I will add, if you are wanting sex without abandon and you just have to have and you start taking risk like having sex without protection then you have a problem that you probably need addressed.
