why is it a fake? no show or pre pay?
I don't know why OP thinks this is a scammer, but I know why I think so...
I'm actually aware of who this person is. I have one of the "books" she's written (if you can call a 32 page pamphlet where about a third of it is just hawking online content a "book"...). To the best of my knowledge, she hasn't been particularly active in the fetish community for about 4 years. The Tryst ad says she's based in Austin, TX, when she's really in the SF Bay area, I believe that area code is Upstate New York. The email address is complete nonsense and matches nothing in her history. The phone number matches neither Austin nor the Bay Area. The Tryst ad implies she's a full-service escort, when (again, to the best of my knowledge) even when she was active, she was BDSM and kink only.
Still, even knowing all that, I took a flying leap, and texted the number in the ad. Responded immediately. Said she (or whoever it was) was available immediately. But I couldn't get anything out of her about an approximate location other than "near downtown". Told me a rate (which matched the Tryst ad), and asked if the rate was okay with me. I said sure, and that if she let me know where to head to, I'd be right over. She then said that before she provided the location, I needed to pay a 30% deposit to "secure our time", via one of several popular money transfer apps. The texting up to that point, while replies were prompt and all, was in broken English in a way I know the real Kali DuBois would never speak or write. I told her that I follow a cash-only policy, and I was going to be able to be there very shortly anyway. She just said, "I don't see anyone without a deposit. Thanks for your time." And that was that.
I'm very confident that whoever has posted this ad is absolutely not who they're representing themselves to be.
Thanks LF for the very useful info. Underscores why Eccie is valuable! As well as, once again, emphasizes "no deposits EVER!"
