Where should i stay in Pensacola Beach, and across the Panhandle??

I am on a spontaneous roadtrip from Nola to Tampa: I am leaving in ten minutes! Damn, it's good to be me!!
I am looking for suggestions as to where to stay and play in Pensacola and points East. Suggestions, pls?? And why do you reccommend?

There are alot of nice hotels on the beach in panama City Beach...I love it there!!

The Holiday Inn resort comes with umbrella service and an awesome sugar sand beach from your suite door! The food here is great and its just across the street..lots of man meat walking around heeheh..Enjoy and try the Doghouse!
