Partake in a particular demon!?... Hmm... Addiction is a disease, not a matter of morality. Those that suffer from the DISEASE of addiction no longer have a choice. They are not themselves. At some point, their lives have become governed by a mental and physical need that is greater than themselves. This doesn't make them immoral or unworththy. It makes those behaviors unworthy and undesirable.
Charlotte.... Not to derail your thread.... But anyone with an addiction still has a choice. I was heavy drinker for many years. And I have to choose every day, not to drink.
Watched an old STP concert when Scott was still the singer, and it made me remember how much I liked that band. Loved Velvet Revolver as well. Rest in Peace.
