New one needed to pass House, Senate and signed by Trump.

Six (6) days.

Hmm, what possibly could distract the Dims?

So who's gonna show up if nobody is getting paid due to shutdown
Or "who's going to get blamed."

Something tells me the USMCA bill will be passed around the same time.

It appears Nervous Nancy did not think this through.

On Tucker last night he proposed that Mitch could keep the impeachment trial going for months and keep the Democratic Senators from campaigning.

That's why it's always a joke to scream about a shutdown. If they are non-essential, why are we paying them anyway?

A shutdown is totally a political thing these days. Few actually are effected in the end and those that sometimes are usually get back paid or funded.

that last shutdown was stupid gamesmanship. all the laid off received back pay.. I guess they went from non-essential to Hell-no-we-don't-need-them! still got paid.

Yeah in SPEEDS thread I asked him to weight in on this since it is his beloved house and all.
Maybe he can give his convoluted explanation to us here...I won't hold my breath.

Let's not forget the $250 million in military aid for Ukraine in the defence budget. The House is holding that up.

How much money does the POTUS personally owe Bank of China? Does that effect the economy? Will a trade deal be signed last minute?

Kick the can?
