Hi There!
I am contemplating a visit through the south within the next few weeks and was wondering if anyone has tips on best places to stay in Tallahase?
Thank you!
Caroline
Yes, there are 3 or 4 nice places right downtown. All I would recommend have interior corridors. Two I recommend are Hotel Duval and the A-loft. Duval has a nice bar on the 8th floor with panoramic windows looking to the west. Of course the panorama isn't anything like California, but frequently in the summer we have really pretty sunsets! Parking at Duval can be a bit of a problem unless you valet park, but there is on-street parking readily available. If you prefer staying along the interstate (I-10) there are 3 or 4 nice places at the Thomasville Rd exit. There are also a few nice ones along Apalachee Parkway to the east of the downtown area. I'd be happy to go into more detail if you want to PM me. Hope you do stop by!
Yes, there are a couple of nice hotels at the Thomasville exit on I-10. There are some other lower end hotels (not flea-bags but more of your budget hotels) at the Monroe St. exit. There are some other decent hotels on Capital Cir NE and on Appalachee. You really have a good choice. Personally, I'd stay away from the downtown hotels. They charge for parking. Check out Hampton Inns. They give you free breakfast. Same for Fairfield Inn.
The Hampton inn at thomasville rd and I-10 is virtually brand new still... Very nice
great info ....thanks for asking cause that's why I came on to ask that same question Im defiantly checking out the bar on the 8th floor at that place
