Be Kind

I just sent the equivalent of this week's hobby funds to the Red Cross for the poor folks in Haiti. I challenge my fellow hobbyists to do the same.

Get a warm, fuzzy feeling in your heart instead of your pants.

Sorry ladies, but lives hang in the balance.

That is very generous of you stavinChain. Well Done!

I understand that Haiti already suffered through 4 hurricanes in 2008 and now they get hit with the worst disaster in 200 years!

The news reporter on NPR today who was on the scene had to stop himself several times to compose his voice because the devastation he was witnessing first-hand was too much for him.

President Obama just pledged $100 million to the relief fund, but many countries and regular people like you, I and the rest of us need to give what they can because the tragedy is immense!

Just got this from a friend:

UPS is shipping anything under 50lbs for free to Haiti. You can send food, clothes or shoes...and American Airlines is taking doctors and nurses to Haiti for free. Please call 212-697-9767. Spread the word...Red Cross needs Creole speaking volunteers for a 24hr phone bank. Call Mr. Wilfrid @305-776-6900 ASAP...

For a relatively painless way to give, you can send $10 to the Red Cross by texting HAITI to 90999. Charge appears on your cell phone bill after confirmation.
