It's all about Lombardis, best olives, cheeses, and cured Deli meats in Syracuse

It's all about Spain, the best olives in the world (though a small region in Italy has a variety called Castel Veltrano which are also quite good)......

Wegmans has a great olive bar!!!!!

I have no doubt that your gentlemen callers will bestow so many olives on you that you will leave Syracuse with a suitcase full of them. And by the time you leave Buffalo, you will need to buy a second suitcase.
