First the Popups and today I get a Text Message

I am a pretty careful hobbyist.

The only adult oriented site I view from this machine is ECCIE.

The Pop-UPs have been extremely annoying and it has been disturbing to learn that it is with full cooperation of the owners that we are being subjected to them.

At times when closing them I am subjected to a message not to leavw because "amber" is waiting to talk to me.

Today "Amber" Texts me and tells me about her profile and to please come log in free at justhookups.com

So HOW THE HELL DOES "AMBER" get my personal Cell Phone Number?

I know "Amber" is nothing more than a phishing message from the site trying to lure suckers in...

But it is incredibly disturbing to get texts on my personal cell phone from the same annoying site that I can't seem to stop frm popping up from time to time while cruising ECCIE.

I never open any of these popups...... I don't look at porn..... ECCIE is the only adult oriented site...."Amber" trys to lure me in from ECCIE pop-ups and now "Amber" has my personal lcell phone number and is texting me.

Don't EVEN try to suggest they are not related.....

Something about these popups has pulled info from my computer, fed it back somewhere and generated text messages to me.....

This strikes me as an extremely serious breach......

Do you ever visit a ladies website and entered any information, say to view her photo gallery write into a guest book, what about reviews, do you use a mobile device, smartphone, tablet, most likely you visited a site and automatically got some malware, if it's on your phone did you dial a number you seen on a website, some of the ladies are really nothing more that a link to a site that will infect you with info stealing software, do you use a lot of apps on your phone, most phones usually don't have great firewall or antivirus protection so you'll get contaminated.
myself I get none of the popups that you are getting, try changing your security settings or browser.
also if you delete your cookies everytime you close your browser, you'll have a tendency to get popups since everytime you come on site it thinks you are a new person, on some popups you delete them once, they don't come back for a time period or ever because it's reading their cookie on your machine, and it knows not to pop up again.

those sugar baby sites will do that to you as well if your not fully protected ... one mail to one of those girls with your number on those sites and your bombed

Nope. as I mentioned in the original post the only site I log into from this system is ECCIE. Everything else i use this system for is professional in nature.. nothing remotely adut oriented.

There is a laptop sitting next to me that I use for other things including the only SB site I use.

THIS system runs with Malwarebytes and Norton.

I don't look at any provider sites.

On my phone it is the same. ECCIE is the only site I visit

And the number that was texted is my personal cell phone line. I use Google Voice Numbers that are not attached to any physical device for hobby or Sb related matters.

Just because I like to keep saying it ----

Sounds like a Google leak to me!

how come you don't use your other laptop that doesn't have vital info stored on it, why do you use your primary business device to cruise a escort site, hopefully this is a business that you own.

I haven't heard of anyone having the issue with getting text messages like you're getting without visiting another site or click on a banner or link, can anyone else confirm they are having this same issue.

So you used your phone to view eccie
So you closed popups when using your phone, that's most likely when you got bit, make sure you got a firewall and a very good antivirus software on your phone.
And get yourself a burner phone

I'm no novice to either the use of computers or to SHMBs...

I don't get popups on my phone.... I said ECCIE is the only site I visit on the phone..... So IF the problem is a result of my having used my phone to view ECCIE then it is something NEW that has never been an issue before and it is directly related to ECCIE......

I do not believe that to be the problem. ECCIE is allowing software/ads to initialize as part of their delivery bypassing normal ad and popup blockers. It would appear they are being delivered by ECCIE not simply allowed by ECCIE. Somehow some kind of code was able to farm my phone number and deliver me a text message trying to drive me to the same site that ECCIE is trying to drive traffic towards.

That is a little too much coincidence for me.

AS to advise as to which computer I should or should not use to view ECCIE..... If ECCIE were safe then why would it matter? id o in fact own my own business and am not concerned with what anyone around me sees me looking at on this system.

I have been a member of this and other boards for 12 years..... I've never had a single issue over those years until recently and it APPEARS to revolve around ECCIE......

I am not seeing these problems from any other site other than ECCIE on this or the other systems I use.

Rather than trying to turn problems around on the people that report them, suggesting that perhaps it is their fault..... perhaps let the problems simply be reoported so that the admin and staff of the site and look into things.....

Hey you're the one with the problems not me so maybe I do know what i'm talking about.
I visit eccie using my smart phone, laptop and pc, I have no issues whatsoever, but then again I have good firewall and antivirus software installed,
so why are you having that problem again?

how's that 12 year history of yours working out for you right now with this issue.

Sorry I tried to help and for questioning your lack of computer security awarness.

I think the people that own eccie already know what's going on, it's not like there isn't numerous threads about popups already,

anybody that uses a computer that hold valuable company or personal information should be a little more security aware, this is the internet regard everything as a potential risk.

like I asked earlier, has anyone else been having the same issue with the text messages as you, and if not then why just you.
I do the multi pc trick.. 95% of the time I use a linux based laptop for my adult sites..
I do from occasion use my desktop multi media machine if the laptop is not powered up..

the pc I use for my personal business never see's any adult site

try doing that if you have 2 pc's

Whispers, are you using Google Voice on your phone? Or another program similar to it?
