First Spring Training Telecast

Yanks v. Pirates, Thursday the 27th on YES. ST games aren't particularly exciting, but after 5 months of no baseball, I'll take anything I can get!

Infield:
1st base - Over the hill guy, always injured, slow starter
2nd base - Ummmm, some guy nobody has heard of...
SS - Jeter HAS BEEN a great player but is just a tad old
3rd Base - see 2nd base... Bet ya can't wait for A-Roid to come back next year

Catcher -
Yea, good pick-up

Outfield:
1. Beltran: Old dude that sounds like a hearing aid brand
2. Els - Good player, but glad you got him...Can't stay healthy and will never repeat
his one stellar year. Money well spent
3. Soar-E-ah noooo - older than dirt
4. Honda/ Kawasaki / what ever his name is....Was a rookie 15 years ago when he
was close to 30 years old
5. Gardner - How many years until he becomes an everyday player?

Starting Pitchers
1. Tanaka - What a deal. All that money and has never pitched an inning in Majors.
Money well spent!
2. CC - I think that's short for Chubby and Choke

Even a spring training game is a little bit of a relief from this long winter.
At least this year's Yanks will be easier to watch than last year's AAA version.

Amen to that! Now if we could only get Nunez off of the roster. And keep him off!
