The U.S. and China have very effectively isolated Russia and China's eating Russia's lunch right now. Sucking up many of their military contracts. Solidifying themselves as Russia's most important trading partner. Has made formal plays to shift the Central Asian sphere of intense and Russia can't do anthing about it as they're now the little brother in that relationship. A significant slap in the face.
