swedens gun laws are pretty strict but pretty reasonable on some areas.

there are some aspect of it I think won't fly too well here.

Sweden looks at gun ownership as an aspect of sporting such as hunting. I am a gun owner, but I don't hunt. I am not a member of any Hunting Club. Not only am I a responsible gun owner, I am pretty well trained. I've been in a firefight and won, and that's the only reason why I have ever owned a gun in the first place is for self protection. This article didn't mention anything about self protection. In fact apparently in Sweden it's unlawful to keep a firearm in your home, which is where it's needed the most. I would agree Sweden's Gun Laws probably wouldn't fly well here to say the least.

Too late, way too late for it to work here, however with some of the hunters ( like Dick) more hunter education is needed.
