Texas boy visiting

Hey! What's the best way to find reputable providers in LA? I've checked out some if the reviews and it seems like some "social" site is the hot spot, humani...something? I'm used to some Texas style GFE but I've noticed different areas have different protocols and I don't want to be a total tool while visiting the Golden State.
