my thoughts.. the headline is absurd, there is nothing racist at all.. grabs one's attention though.. the writer starts out like he has a major bug up his ass.. even if none of the facts are in question, the role of the POW/MIA flag was an American symbol.. the writer describes how Nixon usurped the flag for his own motives, after the flag had been an irritant to Johnson.. how the South Vietnamese treated prisoners no better, possibly worse than the North.. immaterial, the flag was about American prisoners, and whether the number was overstated is once again immaterial.

later on, some solid points are made, that the flag is a bygone of years passed, too much money was spent to uncover POW's that didn't exist in the early 1990's.. but that was the failure of Government and budgets, not anything "caused" by the POW flag.. I get that it's time to retire that particular flag.. maybe it could be replaced by a universal POW flag representing prisoners and MIA in global conflicts, generally..

overall I think the good points the writer may have had, were overwhelmed by an overt PC attitude, and lingering feelings of hate..
