Can anyone recommend a great divorce lawyer? Are there hobbyists Div lawyers? Lol. Na I am seriously considering at least consulting with one. For future use... if the need arise.

What county do you live in? That is extremely important in selecting a lawyer. Second k8ds and their ages? Finally, some idea of your net worth, and if your assets are substantial, what form are they in (real estate, stocks, mineral interests, etc.), and do you claim any are separate property.

There's all sorts of lawyers here, and if they do not specialize in family law, they will refer the case to one that does.

Reread TTH's post above, he's spot on.
Yes, you need one from whichever county you are in, rare that any will travel to a different county, and, the local ones already know what the local judges will do in various situations.
