I had a question that I ask on a previous thread. The question How many animals in a pair of women's pantyhose? Got several great answer and some near misses. The correct answer is 1015. 2 calves, 10 little piggies, 1001 hares, 1 cat and one dead fish that nobody can find!

I believe the answer would be 1016.

As you stated there are:

2 calves + 10 little piggies + 1001 hares + 1 cat + 1 dead fish that nobody can find!

However you forgot to account for the 1 Ass you will also find in a Lady's Panty Hose.

So...

1001 Hares
+ 10 Little Piggies
+ 2 Calves
+ 1 Cat
+ 1 Dead Fish nobody can find
+ 1 Ass
1016 Animals in a Lady's Panty Hose.
