dress code at steakhouses

There is something to be said for ambiance, as an added experience. Some restaurants work hard to achieve this. Others, it's all about the food.

How many prefer a restaurant with a dress code ?

I enjoy a white table cloth establishment with a hot date dressed in sexy evening wear who surprises you discreetly, halfway through a meal, with a lack of undergarments.

Skip the dessert.
I am going to side with Slitlikr on this one. I personally feel we have gone way too casual in today's society. I dress in a shirt and tie everyday, and when I want to make it dressier I add a jacket. If I am going to drop $$$ on dinner I am dressing up and expect my date to do so also!

Restaurants that have a dress code are the ones I attend, but even so it appears most don't enforce the dress code.

It is fun to get all dressed up and go out for a nice night out with a handsome attentive gentleman with a naughty side. There is something to be said for subtleties and naughty intentions

It's a horrible way to view things. Just go eat your steak and mind your business. If you want to enjoy the decor then do that but fuck a dress code.

This how I feel about dress codes:

I don't wear the same type of clothes to Fogo de Chao as I do to Golden Corral.

It's about respect to myself and others.
