When No Show Reviews are moved to CoEd it seems

When No Show Reviews are moved to CoEd it seems that there is no regard for ROS details being openly discussed.

Shouldn't staff show the same diligence in regards to these threads as any other thread where private information, not meant to be read or discussed publicly?

Perhaps a better practice would be to lock the review in place and PM direction to the OP to start a thread in the proper place.

We certainly want to get the information out but read ANY NCNS review thread moved to CoEd and you find open discussion of information never meant, by design, for the public eye....

Admittedly in MOST the information in the ROS is not of a nature that it shouldn't be discussed but that should NOT be left for the discretion of the membership.

Personally, I think the practice of moving NCNS reviews to Coed simply offers a level of protection and gives benefit of the doubt to the provider and detracts from the reporting system.

I asked the question of about 10 guys how they search for info on a girl and they search the review section. If a gal has reviews pop up there and they never search other forums they never see the negativity that MAY/PROBABLY would color their decision to see the girl.

When I do a search for research I search the entire Austin sub-forum (usually by the woman's last 4 digits in her number or her email address) specifically to catch discussion outside the reviews...

it doesn't seem to be a big enough issue to warrant discussion.. does anyone really care? it's been this way forever.. hasn't been an issue nor a problem that bothers anyone it seems.

Personally I would like for there to be a separate section just for ncns experiences.
Once they get moved to coed they kinda get lost and I don't think they belong in the alerts section.

Regarding the ROS information being discussed openly, that is a common issue wherever private comments are posted. There are only two mods (but two good mods) to cover all the Austin section which has a lot of private comments to police.

Something that anybody can do to help keep private comments private is to report any open discussion of restricted information to the mods via the "report to mods" button contained in every post.

I think keeping ROS information and private comments private is the responsibility of the eccie Austin community and the mods need the community's help to do so.

As for your opinions on ROS, you do know that ROS stands for Rest of the
Story? The name does not imply privacy, so it's not misnamed, even by your
opinion. Now, private tags, on the other hand, would be better said to be
misnamed. As for breach of privacy, most of us know the truth of security.
In fact, the original post mentions "ROS details being openly discussed" and
"where private information, not meant to be read or discussed publicly".
Again, the point is that, while most know that it is not private, many post in
private or ROS because we do not want open discussion from those who do
not have premium access. That is changed when the review is moved.

Regardless of leaks, $20 purchase of premium access, writing phony reviews
with a fake account, the guidelines here and mods are charged with protecting
the integrity of privileged information within this site. When information
contained in private tags are discussed openly, mods usually step in to correct
the mistake. Moving a review to CoEd or another section where the ROS
integrity is not kept is contrary to those efforts and should be rethought.

There were some mentions that if no session occurred, then there is no ROS
information. ROS, to me, doesn't imply only activities that happened during the
session. Many outline details of TCB prior to session or other information the
poster wants discussion restricted to premium access.

Personally, aside from the issue of being able to shed the linking of the (non)
review to a providers' profile, if a review is moved, I think the ROS section should
have private tags around it.

Rand covers it pretty well...... Whether the Original Poster of the NCNS has put it in the right area or not the ROS information is NOT meant to be viewed or commented on anyone WITHOUT premium access.....

THAT is a part of the problem IMO...

I've quoted some of the other exchange here..... to address that occurred in the other thread and there is another problem most appear to be unaware of....

Since it was a NCNS of some sort or in the event that no activities took place, there is really no Rest of the Story to protect.

The ROS is restricted so Private Access members can see intimate details of the Hobbiest's session as he recounts them. Since nothing happend in the "Reviews" that are moved to Coed, then there are no details and nothing to protect.

As many times as this has been discussed here and other places, one would think that we all understand that a Review is written ONLY when a session (good or bad) actually takes place. All other threads should (like NCNS, or bad info so hobbiest left before session started, etc) should be in Coed.

We correct the behavior of reviewers in the forum on all the other things they do wrong.

There is no warning or information in the rules that would indicate that if you mistakenly use the review form to report something that it will get moved to another area.

NCNS doesn't necessarily create a situation where a member is "endangered".

Ultimately, Staff has decided that this is how we handle "Reviews" that are not Reviews because a session never took place. There have been many calls in the National Forums for a NCNS Forum. Maybe we will see such a Forum in the future.

We have an alert viewed 4300 times with 48 comments about a guy that left his watch behind and called the lady after the fact.
