Has anyone else noticed it's cheaper to come to the area on a Friday?

I wanted to come last night, but some places were ironically around 80 bucks higher?

They go up so high on the weekends here in Austin?

I was actually surprised to find a really good rate today to come visit the area this weekend?

What's up with that? Oh, and please don't change it lol!

Y'all are awesome for that!!!!

Love,
Kelly

I assume you are talking about Midland. During the week, oil companies are picking up the tab for workers that are in short supply right now. The oil companies gouge us enough that no one feels too bad that the hotels gouge them. Weekends are not on the clock so rates have to drop to maintain occupancy.

Austin is a big go to visit city. Most visitors go on weekends so the hotels can charge more on weekends there. That may vary a little when the legislature is in session.
Come to LUBBOCK the rooms are much cheaper
