New Poll shoes Obama approval rising Republicans approval sinking

Let's see what WhirlWay has to say about this since you seem to jump on every iota of info that is negative to Obama- but take this poll Whirlway and smoke it: http://www.cnn.com/2011/12/20/politi...html?hpt=hp_c2
What is there to smoke? Its pretty obvious that even in a CNN poll 50% of America remains dumb enough to vote for this charlatan again.

It's hardly surprising considering what a dismal failure our education system is at teaching the ability to critically think outside the box.

Amen to that as a vet of both wars I can tell you that all those cowards bush, chainy and Rumsfeld who all got back to back to back deferments from Vietnam hurt this country in so many ways. I am not a liberal but what I can say is that this president has tried and some of the things he did are working now. We still got a ways to go but with the wacko right wing and the stupid left wing of the government not being able to work together he has done ok

The highest office in the land requires high intellect and emotional composure that President Obama has in surplus, but the entrenched opposition running on autopilot is what makes the job so unnecessarily difficult.

We need cooperation in Washington, but we are not seeing anything remotely resembling that virtue.

What we are seeing instead is endless squabbling and bickering over anything that can be used to weaken the President. The protracted fight to raising the debt ceiling was clear evidence of that strategy.

It bothers me that senator Mitch McConnell is brazen enough to openly state that their agenda is to make sure President Obama has only one term.

Clearly, their agenda should be to do what is best for the country.

Don't they even know that's what we elected them for?

The imbecile we had in office previously implement policies that were highly detrimental to the welfare of this country, but President Obama has been digging us out of the economic hole Bush left us in, but instead of helping him do what is right for the country, the GOP has been hellbent on breaking him.

Fortunately, they do not have anyone on the GOP ticket that has enough support to defeat him and that gives me hope for the country.

You know something... they are going to say that I and Whirlaway are the same person. That has been going on here in KCMO since I started posting. So get ready for the insanity.

What, exactly, are these things that the former president did that caused our mess now? I would like specifics. It should be easy, it has been said so many times.

As for polling, it is well known in the actuarial community that when you cast a person against a hypothetical the known quantity either does much better or much worse than reality. It all depends on perception. If the media has been doing their job (which is supporting Obama) then people are concerned that things could get worse and want to stay with a known quantity. If people are given a choice without media influence then the people will always imagine, IMAGINE, the best possible choice even if that choice is not available. Right now, that choice has not been made so it is mostly imagination at work here and fear. I could point out all that polling that said that President Hillary Clinton was going to be in office about this time four years ago.

Thank you for your service.

Specifics:

1. The Bush tax cuts. These idiotic tax cuts only helped the rich while draining our treasure.

2. How does any rational person cut taxes and start an unfunded war?

3. Invading Iraq was the most disastrous decision that anyone could have made. I opposed it from the second it was introduced, but even some of my friends with titles, positions and degrees argued with me that it was a wise decision.

4. Not minding the store. Bush walked into office with a budget surplus left there courtesy of the Clinton administration and what does he do with it?

5. He should have built on that surplus and worked on the crumbling infrastructure of this country and worked on building up the economy.

6. Just look at the smoking ruins that idiot left us when he finished.

How can you even ask with a straight face what specifically did the idiot from Crawford do that caused the mess we're in?

. . . That moron we had in the White House did more damage to this country than Saddam ever did or could have done.

There's a reason I rarely read what the delusional of the left have to say. Willful ignorance on their part I guess.

Every tax cut including the last one, has resulted in increased GDP, a rising tide lifts all boats today, just like it did when JFK initiated a proportionally bigger tax cut. . . while getting us involved in Veitnam.

W. did not "start" the war with Iraq, Iraq violated the terms of the cease fire numerous times and got called on it (as should have been done by Billy the Blow Job the day the inspectors were first bounced out of Iraq).

The "smoking ruins" and "drained treasury" are the direct results of HUD's policy of forcing Fanny and Freddie to underwrite loans to people who simply did not qualify for them. You can blame every elected official since Carter for not undoing what Carter (the first one, not the current one) did. That Carter policy (actually made worse by Clinton who upped the required percentage of bad loans) is the one and only "Father of TARP".

Another lil' tidbit was the auto bail out, truly bypartisan that one, the dems gave money to the unions for kickbacks, while the gop gave money to managment for kickbacks.

Communism does not work, and has never worked. Yet the POSITOO readily admits in the book he alledgly wrote (I note the poster above didn't highlight the POSITOO's military service, nor that of Billy the Blowjob for that matter, yet he is no "liberal"), that he always "surrounded himself with communists in college" and, in fact had one self described communist in his administration and another who openly admired Charmian Mao in his administration.

There is not one, single, solitary thing the POSITOO has done for the good of the nation overall (except his political backers) except stay on the golf course instead of fucking us harder.

Check again. The tax cuts were across the board; which resulted in many lower bracket income earners no longer paying any federal taxes.

2. How does any rational person cut taxes and start an unfunded war?
Bush didn’t start the war with Afghanistan any more than FDR started the war with Japan and Germany.

3. Invading Iraq was the most disastrous decision that anyone could have made. I opposed it from the second it was introduced, but even some of my friends with titles, positions and degrees argued with me that it was a wise decision.
And why would any POTUS listen to your ignorant posts on a SHMB?

4. Not minding the store. Bush walked into office with a budget surplus left there courtesy of the Clinton administration and what does he do with it?
And what about the economic time-bomb Clinton handed to Bush?

5. He should have built on that surplus and worked on the crumbling infrastructure of this country and worked on building up the economy.

The result of the economic time-bomb Clinton handed to Bush.

How can you even ask with a straight face what specifically did the idiot from Crawford do that caused the mess we're in? Your idolatrous support for Obamonation only serves to underscore your ignorant naïveté.

War was brought to this country by the Taliban or did you forget 9/11 (so many have)? It was a bi-partisan vote as well. Last I looked we have increased the number of troops in Afghanistan and we won the war in Iraq (but I have my doubts about the peace).

Me and friends discussed the pros and cons of invading Iraq in 1991! We knew that a base of operations was needed but would it be Iraq or Iran. Of course Iraq did try to assassinate a former president, violated the no fly zone everyday, and refused to supply information about a downed flyer. Any president could have continued the war (which never ended) at any time. It was Clinton who demanded regime change in 1998 and it was Bush who kept the promise.

The surplus was a paper surplus only and let us not forget the economic downturn that was happening before 9/11. You have a terrible memory. Bush should have followed the Obama doctrine I suppose, blame it on the other guy.

Bush was in office for only eight months when 9/11 occurred. He lost 42 days when the Clinton regime would not allow the Bush people access to offices for the changeover. Bush had already started appropriations to rebuild the military which every democratic president seems to stress out and then reduce.

Are you trying to make a joke about 9/11? I didn't think so... those smoking ruins came from Fannie and Freddie. Bush tried to audit them in 2005 by were stopped by the democrats in the Senate and House. The CRA has always been a centerpiece of democratic politics since it was created in 1977 by Jimmy Carter, it was put on steroids by Clinton, and it blew up in 2008. Bush asked both McCain and Obama want they wanted to do with the bailout and TARP. Both of them wanted both. Obama has his fingerprints all over this smoking rubble.

What evidence of high intellect and emotional composure? Obama is a dimwit paranoid. Just ask all the corpsemen from the 57 states.

We need cooperation in Washington, but we are not seeing anything remotely resembling that virtue. And no cooperation is coming from Obama.

It bothers me that senator Mitch McConnell is brazen enough to openly state that their agenda is to make sure President Obama has only one term. Yes, and Harry Reid was so supportive of President Bush, as was Nancy Pelosi. And Tip O'Neal worked hard on Reagan's re-election. How odd that a member of the opposite party would want a different President. You're right, it has me stymied.

Clearly, their agenda should be to do what is best for the country. The agenda for BOTH sides is and always has been what's in it for them. NEITHER side gives a damn about the people, except when it helps their re-election.

Don't they even know that's what we elected them for? Well, in 2010, people elected a Congress they hoped would slow down the socialist march Obama started.
