san antonio's recent election for mayor and city council is a case in point

they were installed and sworn in last week

during the campaigning, one liberal running in a more conservative district claimed there's no partisanship in fixing potholes

he somehow was elected and now his first agenda item is to raise the minimum wage in San Antonio to $15

the council and mayor's first agenda item was to pass a resolution in support of the paris climate accord

other items they talked about supporting:

1. sanctuary cityhood
2. light rail
3. becoming a city of "compassion"

People in low paying jobs are leaving for higher paying jobs. Employers are having to offer more starting pay to attract the workers they need. There has been a lot of discussion about this research because they made no effort to find a control group to see if the Seattle results were better, worse or the same as what was going on in other cities
