Can someone tell me the best place to buy cowboy boots?

I have to buy a pair of red cowboy boots, how could I come to Austin and leave without them? I am staying Downtown, but do have a car so I could shoot out to the burbs if there is a discount place with a vast selection.
Oh boy! Today's the day I get to visit Austin, as I have been wanting to for years! Time to party....

Try Tiny's western shop. It's an old Austin western store that used to be on Airport Blvd. Tiny is a small little lady. I'm not sure if she is still here she was pretty old in the 80's. The place has moved off of research in north Austin. They have Great prices and know their stuff. While your over there you can check out Capital Saddlery, Buck Steiners place (Steiner Ranch), They make pretty good boots. You can do a google for Tiny's.

Allen's is a good place, it's just a few minutes from your location, & there is a ton of other shopping & dining options w/in walking distance. Go tomorrow during the day & enjoy the people-watching.

I vote sheplers, and I have 3 beautiful pairs of boots from there myself. They are awesome. And, almost any hotel in Austin has a rack stand with touristy type brochure cards. Look for the Shepler's one and you can save 20% off any purchase. That can be a substantial savings.

Additionally, Allens boots (Maybe on S. Congress)? may have a unique selection.
