happy birthday Alyssa enjoy your concert. I'm not really a concert fan more of a sports junky. baseball, football and hockey are fun to watch!

Having lived in a place that had lots of good bands play for reasonable prices (and relatively small venues) I was severely annoyed that if these same bands did bother to stop in Vegas to play a gig, the ticket prices were severely inflated vs say seeing them in SoCal/Bay area/Phoenix. Price to pay for having casinos mark up the tickets so they can comp them to their favored guests and make it all work on the accounting side.

Rant aside, hope you had fun seeing Lorde, Alyssa!

And it's funny what quzi said.: some tickets are severely inflated, but it's more when it's a production or residency.. I actually love going to shows here. Let's just go with Lorde.. Last night tickets were $50 for GA. She didn't sell out The Joint.. Now she is off to CA where she will play two nights at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley then two nights at the LA Greek..then Santa Barbara Bowl then San Diego's Spectrum Center..
The demographic in Vegas doesn't really cater to shows like Lorde.. Most people that would go have to work..
