Does size matter?

Here is an interesting piece I read I thought I should share. My own experiences ring true to the last statement. It was the studies and percentages that raised an eyebrow for me . . . . .

Does Size Matter?

By Harry Fisch, MD
Men catch a lot of grief for being obsessed with their penises…is it big enough? Thick enough? Hard enough? Etc. But given that Mother Nature’s prime directive is to reproduce, and given the prominence of the male member, maybe this attention isn’t so odd. If a woman’s ovaries were as conspicuous as a man’s penis, I'll bet women would be as obsessed about those reproductive assets as men are about theirs.

Unfortunately, even in this supposedly enlightened era of sexual information, a lot of guys don’t have a clue about what “normal” is when it comes to penises. Lurid – and often artificially manipulated – photographs of monster penises on websites for "penis extenders" don’t help things. So in this blog I want to present a brief primer on penises, just to set the record straight…and maybe set some male minds at ease.

First, length. Scientific studies of the size of erect penises – and there are a surprising number of them – consistently show that the average erection is a little more than 5 inches long. Like any aspect of anatomy, though, people vary. On the small side of things, a guy is considered normal if his erect penis is at least 3 inches long. On the long end of things, 2 research efforts found that the longest erect penises in their study populations were about 8 inches long. Longer penises certainly exist, however. In his book Penis Size and Enlargement: Facts, Fallacies, and Proven Methods, Garry Griffin provides the following estimates:
  • Only 15% of men have a penis longer than 7 inches when erect.
  • Only 3% of men are bigger than 8 inches when erect.
  • Only one man in 10,000 has a 10-inch erection.
It’s also true that penises that are relatively short when flaccid, tend to enlarge proportionately more during erection than larger penises. In other words, you can’t tell from the size of a limp penis how it’ll look when erect.

Does race have any effect on penis size? Nope. Several studies, starting with those reported in Alfred Kinsey’s classic 1948 work Sexual Behavior in the Human Male have found no differences, on average, in penis length between whites, blacks, and Asians.

Contrary to all sorts of folklore, there is no correlation between penis size and the length of one’s nose, or feet, or index fingers, or any other part of the anatomy. In Masters & Johnson’s classic studies, for example, the largest penis of the 312 men studied was hung on a guy who was 5 feet 7 inches tall, while the smallest penis was on a guy who was 5 feet 11.

Here’s one piece of common wisdom that I think is true: “It’s not the size of the instrument, it’s how you play the tune. The longer you play the tune the better it is." There’s so much more to satisfying sex than the size of a guy’s penis!

I dated a girl when I was younger and was very conscientious of my shortcomings. She told me after a couple times together that if I stopped being so concerned about how far I could be in her and more concerned about how long I was able to be there, we would both be happier. It is advice that has served me very well over the years. She used to say "its not the size of the ship or the length of the trip but the duration and motion of the ocean.

At the same time, we all realize that we need to look at the other side of the coin!
Sometimes, it is not the size of your ship’s Anchor; it is how big the lagoon is!
Sorry ladies just had to.

I am Dead !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've always figured that if 2 fingers can be enough to get a girl off, then why should i worry?

Thicker and wider vs. Longer
What do most women prefer other than if we know how to use it.

What a cool post!

I had two interesting experiences that helped put things into perspective for me.

The first one was with my first "serious" girlfriend a long time ago. She had just come out of a relationship with an "abnormally" large guy and she constantly told me how great it was to be with a more "normally" sized guy. She had absolutely hated having sex with this guy.

The second one was with a very experienced provider who said much of what is in Chloe's post: that porn pics are manipulated and bs, and that 5 or 6 inches is pretty damn big, overall.

Anyway, it reminds me of the joke about the guy with the tiny dick. When he first shows it to his new girlfriend she laughs and says "who do you think you are going to satisfy with that?" He just smiles and says "Me!!"
I once heard a female comedian say...

"We have all heard and told men that it is not the size of the ship, but the motion of the ocean. Did you ever try to get to England in a rowboat?"

I was blessed to be able to hit all sides and bottom out with most women. It works for me, but does preclude greek as an option most of the time.

Just like men, I have found no correlation most of the time to how tight a gal is. Some of the skinny ones have a pelvic structure that command even more girth that I have.
I like to touch a lot, suck a lot, slap/talk/lick a lot. I've been pretty consistent in getting a partner to pop within a minute or two of starting the party. Of course the goal after that is for pop number two, but I didn't see any mention of foreplay and how beneficial it can be to the ladies.

Yeah, would love to hear from the ladies. Performance withstanding, what is preferred, girth or length?
