Do meds affect your sex drive?

About 10 years ago I moved Denver and the altitude affected me. Caused me to have panic attacks (something Ive never had before)...crazy stuff
So the Dr prescribed anti-anxiety medication and I have taken it ever since.
So Ive noticed over the last few years though my ability to pop became more and more difficult....as well my libido was coming to creeping halt.

So now Im weaning myself off this crap and its a weird feeling but I will say the ability to pop and carry a woody when the wind blows has really increased..as well my libido...thank god!

Back to working out and the sex is much better...

Do these meds affect women and men the same way?

Do any others have the same kind of story?

I cannot take allergy pills when I work...they make me "lazy" and "lethargic".

I take effexor and stratera... stratera (for adhd) is actually what they put some released sex offenders on because of the sexual side effect. It nulifies the libido. Effexor (for anxiety/impculsiveness) makes it hard to climax. I was on vyvanse, a stimulant that increased libido, but raised the blood pressure making difficult to get hard.. increased blood pressure means blood can't not get trapped in the penis..so yes..DEFINATELY. I have to go off meds a few days before a date. And yes...it effects females the same way, less the hard on problem.
I was having problems that even a full dose of Viagra didn't cure. I checked all my meds for side effects and discovered that Propecia (for balding men) has a small % of side effects. I went off it and it made a huge difference.
I took Xanax a few years ago. It kills libido and affects ejaculation. I had to taper off to get off the crap. As long as I exercise, I don't have any issues with anxiety. BP , heart, and diabetes meds are libido killers as well. The so called newer antihistamines lower sex drive, Allegra, Claritin, etc. They cause depression which kills sex drive too. Any antidepressants will cause problems as well. Believe me, I tried them all. I almost fell asleep in the middle of sex. There are lots of foods you can eat that will help. Oysters are nasty, but they work guys. I eat them cooked which improves the taste.

I was on Effexor several years ago, and it made it hard to reach climax. It was kind of a hell of you do, hell if you don't, type of deal. The good side, when I finally did cum, it was longer and much more intense. I rather enjoyed it. The bad side, I lasted too long for my partner's enjoyment. They would get to the point of, "my god, aren't you done, yet." I'm glad I got off of it. I'm older now, and I really don't want to work that hard to get a nut, anymore. Lol.
ANY DHT blocker for hair growth will stunt your natural testosterone for sex.

I have to use a natural DHT blocker and I H A T E it but it helps me keep a fuller head of hair. I do think that taking Tribulus Terrestris and Horney Goat Weed helps out but don't take to much or you'll be dripping cum without a woody lol

Man since I have cut back it has been the amazing the difference. I never knew until a friend of mine mentioned it that affected me so much.
Not much from ladies so far...any thoughts.
My allergy medication made it difficult for me as well.

Scarier stuff is opposite between No-Dose and Caffiene after a long day and then seeing a provider, even for a young guy like me, my heart was beating to the point of nausea and had to cancel in the middle of it.
