OBAMACARE FAILURE: 31 MILLION UN-INSURED BEFORE OBAMACARE AND 31+ MILLION UN-INSURED TEN YEARS AFTER OBAMACARE !

According to the CBO reports..................

Obama destroys an existing health insurance system (1/7th of our economy); replaces it with an equally awful insurance exchange, and we end up with the same number of Americans uninsured, higher costs, and lower services ?

Obama's idea of "transforming" America.

We've been punked by Obama and the Democrats.

The point has been missed. Instead of having 31 million without, many of those choosing to be without, we now have a law that helps government manipulate the health insurance industry, forces them to provide coverage to a few who should not have been denied at the expense of many who will pay much more, receive less, and have fewer choices. That plus the additional cost to taxpayers in taxes, lost hours and lost jobs is why this law is bad. However, it is the truth that once government passes a law it takes an act of God to repeal it. The things that have happened so far are not enough to get a huge surge in the vote toward common sense. Texas won't become Democratic nor will California become Republican. At this point, I don't even believe the Senate will become Republican. The only people foolish enough to think it are Fox News. People are entrenched. Therefore, all the numbers you see are just that numbers.

Just think of the outrage you would be having if it went smoothly, and the numbers were higher of those signing up.

That is a foolish assumption on your part Eva. The right has made many claims and predictions about Obamacare and just about all have been proven to be true.

It comes down to math and many democrats (not elected but professional) have said so. If they don't have enough invincibles for a 60-40 split then Obamacare fails and fails badly. Right now for all the posturing by the White House they have no, NO, definitive numbers on how many people have actually signed up and PAID for their insurance. If they haven't paid then they are not covered.

Nothing like having 2.5 million more on the government tit so you can rely on their votes.

There are 8 million illegal aliens who do not qualify for an Obamacare policy or Medicaid. The total number of people who will be left uninsured for various reasons is 22 million. Up to 94% of the country will be insured after 2019.

Here is an accounting of the number of people who will be left uninsured. Some people will be eligible for Medicaid, but will not sign up for it. Some people will choose to not get health insurance and pay the tax, plus the 8 million illegal aliens. From the link below.

The ACA has two primary mechanisms for increasing insurance coverage: expanding Medicaid eligibility to include individuals within 138% of the federal poverty level,[43] and creating state-based insurance exchanges where individuals and small business can buy health insurance plans—those individuals with incomes between 100% and 400% of the federal poverty level will be eligible for subsidies to do so.[38][30] The CBO originally estimated that the legislation will reduce the number of uninsured residents by 32 million, leaving 23 million uninsured residents in 2019 after the bill's provisions have all taken effect.[121][122][123] With the elderly covered by Medicare, the CBO estimate projected that the law would raise the proportion of insured non-elderly citizens from 83% to 94%.[121] A July 2012 CBO estimate raised the expected number of uninsured by 3 million, reflecting the successful legal challenge to the ACA's expansion of Medicaid.[124][125]
Among the people who will remain uninsured:

ACA drafters believed that increasing insurance coverage would not only improve quality of life but also help reduce medical bankruptcies (currently the leading cause of bankruptcy in America[128]) and job lock.[129] In addition, many believed that expanding coverage would help ensure that the cost controls successfully function; healthcare providers could more easily adapt to payment system reforms that incentivize value over quantity if their costs were partially offset—for example, hospitals having to do less charity care or insurers having larger and more stable risk pools to distribute costs over.[130]

Whirly's first sentence said from the CBO. So where is his link? Wilikipedia is quoting other sources. Do you have a link to dispute what was written?

We know that you like the Medicare Part D entitlement but not the ACA entitlement. They both cost the taxpayer about the same, 800 billion for Part D and 1 trillion for the ACA.
