What’s with the “Please Delete Account” requests?

I’m hoping some of the guys who have put in such requests will respond before their account is disabled:

Do you know something the rest of us don’t know? Do you really think you can have your account “deleted”? Are you assuming by making that specific request (vs “disabling” or “guesting”) that you are going to magically have all your information disappear?

If all your past posts are still visible, what does the act of disabling your account get you? Do you think it’s now illegal or unsafe just to maintain an active membership on this site? If that’s the case, what is the basis of that conclusion?

I’m not trying to talk folks out of disabling their accounts, just trying to understand if there is logic or information behind it, or is this just a bunch of lemmings heading for the cliff.

Alot of guys are just in panic mode. When their dick gets hard again they will be back lol

I took a peek at the list, it is insane how many are asking for their acct to get deleted.

I think a lot of it is Lemmings, but it could be some think the Site won't meet a particular standard going forward, so they are bailing. may be a few who think pre-September 1st doesn't matter, but post September 1st does, and are bailing out of fear. the Lemmings are thinking "these other guys are more tuned in than me, I better follow off the Cliff".

which is to say I doubt more than a few believe their info will be wiped clean. there are other reasons they are bailing. I think it is a supreme overreaction, but whatever.

This site has a bit of a glory hole perspective throughout it.

Maybe if it was cleaned up and more respectable, no one would worry near as much. These laws should be made to make people more respectful to one another- both men & women alike.

If you can't do it here, find your closest glory hole and gtfo. My marriage was a glory hole and I'm still paying to get out of it. I sure af don't want to see any additional disrespect towards anyone else here ever again. (not that I've paid much attention to any of it)

Life is about finding good people. If people are scared to be here, that should tell us all something about the demeanor of things posted on this website and/or those that are leaving...

If they've walked away from the site, it ensures the account stays quiet, and not as easily looking hijacked, either. Never can be too careful.

I was wondering about the mass exodus also. The new law isn't geared toward the escort or the client so leaving for that reason doesn't make sense. If they are leaving because the site won't have as much value to them, why not just leave your account open and just don't visit unless something changes?

The only real value I really see left is the AMP section because that was always review driven.

I recently put in a deletion request and then I calmed down. Like others, I love the pics in the galleries and with no ads I’m not sure what will become of this place. But i got a couple more weeks until I reach my 9 year anniversary here so let’s see what happens

The reviews do provide some good insight and it’s pretty easy to search for the lovely ladies on ECCIE. I definitely miss the ads and showcases (with the pics), but there are other sites that provide this.

One other thing I am doing now... if you select one of the ladies as a buddy, they show up on the Buddy List when they are on line.

IMO, ECCIE still has value.
